I use a small fan that moves air/fumes across the length of the cue. Then an additional box fan placed in a door way that blows air outside. I never smell any CA fumes.

I suspect the pots are just dirty. If you can find some contact cleaner...spray it on the pots and rotate several times to clean them. Make a mark before you start rotating them to get them back...
