Have it refinished,wrapped and maybe a new
shaft. Shoot a little with it and if it's not for
you sell it on to someone or put it on the wall.

I would think that any change you make to a cue will change the way it "HITS" .It may be so minor that you don't notice but I think it would change. I know you're asking about the shaft in general...

Webbwood is engineered wood like diamondwood.
I've seen a couple duck calls made from it.
In short it's layers of wood and epoxy,there's a
bit more to it...
