Not sure you have the right cue. The 2.9 had a Uni-loc Radial pin. Fairly decent. Newer models went to the Uni-Loc Bullet. That's just wrong for this cue. Think theres may have been the newer ones.

As stated above, a pro taper is undestood to be no taper for 10-12 inches from the tip. Truth is any decent cue maker will taper it but the rate of taper is far less than that of a bar cue or cheap...
