Sweat from your hands will wear through the finish, your cue isn't really well protected from moisture, humidity and general use. It's much easier to fix a ding in the finish, than in the wood itself.

Brass can tarnish if it's in high humidity climate. Use some metal polish on a Q-tip. Make sure you wipe off all rest of polish and gunk when your done.

Meucci is hit and miss. Most cue makers have little love for Meucci these days. The latest Meucci products I've seen personally have all had fairly obvious flaws, shafts not face off right etc....

I haven't done any calculations, but with a 29mm diameter at the buttcap and a straight taper, the joint might get a bit thin for a Radial pin. Maybe Uni-loc or a piloted 5/16-14 would work better?...

Mezz makes cues in two joints: United Joint and Wavy Joint. If you want your Mezz shaft in Radial, 5/16-18 or whatever, you pay a little more as it deviates from the standard production line.
