That's a very good business practice(to ask) although most will not know what they have or what your suggestion really means. I do not use a CA finish but there's a lot of misguided ideas about this...

Using a utility blade while turning in-between centers is about the best way to remove epoxy that didn't dry correctly. None of the solvents work well at this stage.
