Dr. Dave has a page dedicated to the spot on the wall system as well as some videos. I use it all the time for 3 and 2 rail kicks and long 1 rail kicks into the corner pockets and I figured out my own 2 rail kick for the side pockets. I always try to find my reference points while I’m practicing...
I’m just being curious. Is the game of snooker popular enough in Australia for there to be decent access to good official size tables? I’m assuming it is. You’ve been in the states so you know in most areas they are hard to find and if you do find a 12 footer all most folks want to play is golf...
Northwest Alabama. Two of my pool halls shut down recently due to owners death and other had health issues. That takes away 3 ten foot snooker tables. There are three nine footers I play on most of the time nearby. There is a 10 footer and 24 diamond tables at Six Pockets in Decatur. There are...
Luckily, we have plenty of people who love snooker in my area. Of course, it’s the American snooker variety, which is fine with me. My 23 yr old son would rather play snooker than anything, and he is one of the best in our area.
I’ve got just enough room for a 12 foot table in my basement if I get rid of my 10 footer. That’s my goal to have a regulation professional snooker table. I’ve got to start saving up for it though!
My usual place to play has 3 nine ft snooker tables. We play with 14 reds. The pink(or orange) is in the middle of the rack. Open break only. Must call all shots after break. No combo shots. All rails and kicks must be called. Fouls result in losing all points on that run, as well as losing 4...
I don’t know. I’m so used to both colors I couldn’t even tell you which pool halls I play at have either color. I can’t even tell you what color my 6 is at my house!
They are 2 1/8. They have numbers on them as well but even the pink 2 1/8 is numbered 6 on these American snooker sets. I’d like to get a regulation 2 1/16 set and try on my 10 foot snooker table. It has tighter pockets than any other snooker table I’ve ever played on.
In Alabama, most of the old pool halls I’ve played at had at least one 10 ft snooker table. Golf is the usual game played on them but there are a few places where snooker is played a lot.
Nine Mile Billiards in Pensacola, Florida has a twelve foot snooker table and the ten foot cue with a very long bridge to use with it. My son and I played there this summer and he had a shot that required using them both. I think if you watch some of the old snooker matches in Europe the...
I’ve had all of those ailments over the years but they weren’t caused by pool but they sometimes hindered my game. Lower back and neck pains are causing me problems at the moment and that affects my stance and head alignment enough to throw me off my game. Thanks for the videos!
Sometimes I switch from my 19 oz z3 to my 21 oz cheap players stick and I get right on target. Maybe the extra weight keeps my stroke straighter if I’m tired?
