Optical Flow Density with Open CV

On a side note that table looks incredibly fast. I was expecting a ball to stop near the rail, instead it hits the rail and rebounds a fair distance off the rail.

You gotta love the inlays on that table.

45-Ball Challenge with Run-Out Strategy Commentary

I racked up 45 balls on my table a few years ago, the break was so horrible that I think I gave up after a few balls. If you were playing Fargo you had an incredible score for 1 game.

    Joint pin identification?

Its a neat looking pin although I don't know how much good that does you, you cant see it when the cue is assembled.

    8ft versus 9ft Diamond Pro am (room 17'6" x 14')

I think the majority of non professional tournaments is on 7' tables. Heck, its even hard to find anyone who wants to play on a 9' around here.

    Serious question?

And yet so many fans believe automakers are involved in racing to improve road car technology, nothing could be further from the truth. Car makers are there to put their brand on the worlds stage, otherwise known as advertising.

    8ft versus 9ft Diamond Pro am (room 17'6" x 14')

Before I got my 9' table even going from an 8' to 9' seemed like huge difference. Now that I am used to my 9' table both 9' and 7' tables seem completely normal, its almost like they are the same size. What lines are different? As long as tables are always 2 as long as they are wide the lines...

    8ft versus 9ft Diamond Pro am (room 17'6" x 14')

If competition is the reason to get a 9' table instead of an 8' table why not get a 7' table, they are more popular for non professional tournaments than 9' tables?

I think you lost the plot on this one. My Gold Crown I has modified sub-rail angles for current cushions, proper pocket miters, and sub-rails extended with wood for 4 3/8" corner openings.

Introducing Billiards to the next generation

Maybe before we concern ourselves about promoting billiards at the collegiate level we should look into the finding a way to make the cost of higher education affordable. There are staggering amounts of student loans in default, these are areas that require the highest attention at the moment.

Frozen cue ball to object ball question

Im not sure the ruling on this situation. I was told that (BCA/CSI rules) if the Q ball is frozen to one of your group that it counts as contacting one of your group but if that were true it should then count as a foul if the Q ball is frozen to your opponents group and you hit the Q ball. I...

Who said anything about "Diamondizing a GC"? Then I guess I need to settle for my gaffed GC, it sure plays nice compared to one with thick facings and incorrect miters though.

Have table re-cushioned/covered. Best way to "draw" the boxes for breaking and rack alignment marks?

I suppose you don't need the head rail reference but I'm also not going to trust putting permanent lines on my new cloth using a square. There are many things we think are square and level according to the tools we use when nothing is further from the truth. Its far too easy to make a mistake...

How Old Is This Brunswick Table

I think the real problem starts if you have to put cushions on those antique tables, Brunswick Monarch Superspeeds are no longer made. You can have the sub-rails modified for current cushions but its costly. I also think that's one of those tables that the rails bolt to the side of the slate...

How Old Is This Brunswick Table

That's very cool old table but it seems like it would cost a small fortune to get it to play good.
