I ran 38 in a league match on 05/16/2023. I started off the match very slowly with some unfortunate scratches. Near the end of the match I finally got my pattern play down a bit better as well as the speed of the table and started putting a few runs together. At one point I was behind almost...
I'm curious if everyone would consider posting their FargoRate at the time of their runs. I feel like a 650 is about what it would take to run 100 balls, but I'm sure there are exceptions.
I've watched most of the DVD now and I can definitely say it's played at a good pace with a lot of good position play. The table was definitely easier than your standard table. I saw probably 20+ shots go that would not have gone on the tables I play my straight pool league on. Shaw is an...
FYI, I got my DVD, certificate, and piece of cloth yesterday. I haven't had a chance to watch the DVD yet, but it looks like they are definitely being shipped out.
Did older tables seem less level? Also, I know that on faster, newer cloth, balls will slide in. Maybe older, slower cloth wouldn't allow as much slide?
These were on an 8-foot table with deep shelves, so relatively easy pockets, but some balls definitely hang because of the deep shelves. My opponent wasn't too happy at the end of the match and I didn't want to provoke him, so I left the run unfinished. My 59 was on a 9-foot table over 10...
51 on January 3, 2022.
I posted it in the old thread, but I ran an ugly 51 with a few hero shots during a league match. I also ended with a 46 and out (race to 150) which was much cleaner. I felt had I continued that run I would have finally broken 60+ (I had a pretty open rack), but I don't...
For whenever the 2022 thread starts... Ran 51 today (Jan 3, 2022). I also ran 46 and out to end the match (race to 150). The 46 was much cleaner. The 51 had a few hero shots. Ended on a combo I didn't necessarily need to shoot.
I play in a straight pool league on 8 foot tables that has pockets that are cut a little funny (balls hang quite often, but not because the pockets are that tight). I've been struggling a bit to get into the groove, but I feel I've playing a bit better. The division I'm in has all great...
I do think it makes a difference. A 2x4 Acme case by itself has a decent amount of protection for two cues. This may not be the case for a 4x8 or something similar. The difference is the amount cue mass vs padding and case mass. More cues are going to bang around with less protection. My...
JB cases are amazing quality. I had an Instroke for years. That said, I bought an Acme because I was at the store and it was the only thing I could find that looked worth buying. I bought a 2x4 and I honestly believe it will protect my cues fine through most normal circumstances. I think a...
For me, in general...
$10-$20 - For a local, weekly tournament
$50-$100 - For a monthly, regional tournament
$150-$250 - For a National tournament
I suppose I might go up to $500 if it was a very special event. I'd only have an okay chance at cashing in the first two categories though.
