Bob is, of course, exactly correct. IMO, some cuemakers build a unique joint for their cues to encourage future shaft support be directed to them. Not an unreasonable marketing practice, but, beyond being "unique," such joints do not materially add to the performance of the cue.

Question folks, are the Uniloc and the VP2 joints compatible/interchangeable? If not, what differs?

I cannot produce a radial pin shaft, sorry. I have seen several on Kozoom, you can check there. There is certainly no problem using a 3C shaft on a pool butt -- the balls don't care....

I make one, possibly could make one to fit your cue. I would need to know screw diameter and thread pitch, maybe easiest way is to send me one of your shafts and I could determine fit; another consideration is joint diameter; my joint is .880 and most other shafts of that style are only .850...

In my opinion, Caudron lost because Zanetti whined about an obvious shot-clock violation (on the second shot of what would become a 13 point run) and Caudron told the timekeeper to waive it off. I lost respect for Zanetti which I have not regained since that match in 2013.
