I will add this - A harder stroke is required to move the rock the same distance with a soft tip than with a hard tip. I think everyone can agree on that. Therefore, The soft tip will create more spin, not because of contact time, but because you are hitting the rock with increased stroke...

What creates more spin - A players confidence that he will not miscue while hitting the ball further off center axis with a firmer stroke. That's all I got from where I went to school.

Many know that I am a big fan of the Becue. I have never played a cue that hit and played as well. So now I own three Becue's, obviously I only need one, so I will keep two and sell one :cool: . This cue does not have any scratches or blemishes of any kind. Of course everything is dead...

I bought this Stinger new about 4 years ago. Used it as my breaker for about one year then replaced it with another breaker, since then it has lived in a case in my closet. I replaced the linen wrap with a black stacked leather wrap for better feel and grip. Wrap looks much better in person...

I like the way the shaft goes through the ball, rock solid and never any vibration. Doesn't matter how far off center axis you go it's rock solid, every hit feels the same as dead center. I am thrilled with the low deflection, if there ever was a point and shoot cue this is it. The front end...

Have not played every cue made, but I have played many. With out any doubt Becue is the best hitting and playing cue I have ever used and it's not even close.

I always feel like gambling when my opponet is considerably weaker than I am. If my opponet is equal to me in skill level, there is no way I am going to gamble. Does that make me a bad person?

I will add one fact to this thread - Over time leather dries out and gets harder. When you buy a new tip how old is it actually? No way of knowing, could this be the difference maker in getting a 'magical' tip when the last one you got, same brand was hard and glazed over after minimal play?

Table is a grizzly bear, could be frustration, but I get what you are saying.

Matchroom has a You Tube channel, if they streamed these matches for free how much would their channel grow with subscribers, and how much would that increase their You Tube revenue? I don't know but I am sure it would be a far better long term solution for Matchroom, the fans and the sport.
