As others have said, Mile High Billiards has a 6x12 table. There are a few avid snooker players around town but not too many. They also have a couple nice Gabriel billiard tables now. There is a 10' snooker table in Felt and lots of competition available depending on the time.

I think that's the right rate for the neighborhood it's in. Also parking really isn't too much of an issue for locals as it's more of a downtown location, but it is for us suburbanites. I like the room and I like Gerard. His room may be relatively new but he's been around the Denver pool scene...

I've got the same thing as Lou but with a black custom case with white stitching. I'll sell if someone is interested in the case and the cue, it has lots of joint protectors... think about it. I've probably played with it less than a dozen times over the years. I think I'm selling the crap out...

Me too Freddie. Why can't they make a sliding weight or an add a metal "pad" that would be used between the tip and the shaft of differing weights to try and fine tune the amount of deflection? Then I could fine tune the amount of deflection to my taste.

Russ, you could be right, but until the differences are still apparent when approximately equal numbers of men/women compete at something, be it pool or chess, I will continue to believe that it's just purely a numbers game. My point is that the difference in participation rates is not small...

I think it comes down to total number of participants. How many men play competitive chess vs. how many women play? Same with pool. So for example, if say 10 times the number of men play chess than women, it stands to reason that you'll get more men with higher ratings than with the smaller...

I missed the match with John but he does have a pretty wide spread in performance day to day. A bit off topic but I noticed that SVB has about a 40 point difference in fargorate from his highs to his lows if you follow his average rating (from Mike Page's recent post). I would Guess ATM varies...
