I guess I am the "Get off my lawn!" guy....

I have seen your posts for years and value your opinion. I thought the IPT was on the right track. I would not say real felt took a manly stroke, it took a true stroke. I just believe the game is being simplified too much by technology. Golf is often used by people as a simile. Even they do...

I was still using "Tech2" when you changed.

I have no doubt this is better user wise. I am old, change bad! It is definitely me.

I appreciate your opinion. If they changed horeshoes so it was only 5 feet apart and widened the horeshoe, I guess that is the same? The Indian and not the arrow is kind of my whole point. If you make it easy enough for a beginner to be as good as someone experienced?

Compete was probably the wrong term. "keep score" would be better. Before you could see who had been here, how long and how many posts they had. It seems like another level to me. As you say, it is the way other forums do this. I guess that is why I do not belong to any other forums. No...

Point, awards and whatever else you now have going, only turns me off. Why make people compete in a place everyone is just supposed to contribute?

I guess I am the "Get off my lawn!" guy....

I started playing pool at the end of the real felt era. If you went 3 rails after a shot it meant you actually had a stroke. There were no jump cues, if you jumped, it was with your shooting cue. I don't remember break cues being a thing either. Where I played 7 footers did not exist. 8...

Tommy Kennedy Go Fund Me Page

Thank you Evergruven, it is right side up in my photos I talked with him at the Dismal Swamp events. He did not have an unfriendly bone in his body. Very genuine and cared about what you had to say. He spent a lot of time on the tables with the regular people. A great ambassador for the game.

    $$$$$$$---Ryan Theewen RAT CUE---$$$$$$$

I might of had that built? https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=253995 If it is the one, I really liked the way it hit. I had a Mike Webb Titlist at the time and it was hard to put that down. 1st time I asked for a cue to be built, I let Ryan do what he wanted. The colors really...

Todd cues Jessie in Federal Way Wa. has ukuleles now, but used to make Todd cues. Also the Original Pocket Chalker, the Qfile, and the QClaw. I believe she trained with Woodworth and others and was in at least one edition of the Blue Book of Cues. She is a regular at pool events doing tips...

    Tascarella Cues BEM Joint Protectors

I got a very similar set for my Tascarella. I messed up my order and these guys acted like it never happened and did everything they could to make it right. No questions, extra charges or drama. Excellent people to do business with. Thanks, they are gorgeous! John

    Bustamonte's stroke

Watch Kristina Tkach From what I have seen, she does little to no stroking at all. She sets, lines up then shoots. She is kinda good.

    Bustamonte's stroke

I was amazed... I have seen Busty pull the cue clear through his open bridge, completely off his hand and complete the shot. How do you do that?

No, Most people do not want to play pool on big pockets.

The angle of my pockets kill me... I could have understood everything wrong, but this is what I think I know. RKC changed the angle of the pockets to compensate for the shallow shelf, they are the pro cut 4.5"s otherwise. It allows me to cheat a bit, but if you hit too hard, it will rattle...

    Billiard collectibles

I had to be the first to see this. These are the actual balls from the matches. I was able to attend a TAR match in the studio. Busty vs. SVB, was sitting next to Jack Cooney and his wife. We chatted about Tim Tebow and the Broncos. About half way through, Efren and Santos stop by after...

Any body see the Evil Dead series? Not the movies. Showtime. Ash in the first episode. He hits a pressure switch in his trailer and this shotgun pops up out of the floor into his hands - awesome!!! I wanted to make a gif. not that talented. There is "protection" distributed throughout my...

    Do you use a safe?

some excellent suggestions I like concealment - I have to get a hamper! Something like the vent idea or the xmas box. I live alone, so if I hid them and passed, there would be a great story of future homeowners remodeling and finding some nice cues hidden in the walls. Thank you all very...

    Do you use a safe?

True, you would have to be a burglar kind of "in the know" to take cues. I think if one "knew" and tried to sell a high end cue, the population that would buy it for what it is, is relatively small. Unfortunately, it would probably go to someone who had no idea of it's worth. But, it has...
