    Cognoscenti has raised rings...

So what you guys are saying is this is all about a bad finish job and not about metal rings or anything else like that?

    Cognoscenti has raised rings...

Yep. That's what I thought. I was told to get it refinished and then to keep it in as stable environment as possible.

    Cognoscenti has raised rings...

Yeah. I get what you're saying. I read that as well about how that happens when they didn't give the finish enough time to dry or cure. Another possibility though is that the rings may not have been sanded or turned down to be exactly even with the wood and were still slightly raised before...

    Cognoscenti has raised rings...

Yep. That's what proficient billiards told me. Said it's very common and is called ring pop. Happens all the time with metal rings and can be fixed with a refinish. Actually I am aware of metal rings having a tendency to do this. That's why I try to stay away from them. But I just had to have...

    Cognoscenti has raised rings...

That's what I've been reading. Crazy. It's not real bad though. You can just feel them a little bit.

    Cognoscenti has raised rings...

I was wondering about that. Thank you.

    Cognoscenti has raised rings...

I recently purchased a Cognoscenti cue. It has a very nice weight and feel. Plays great. But I noticed that you can feel the metal rings in it and that they are slightly raised. Is there anything that can be done about this? Or is it best to leave it alone?

    Cleaning Irish Linen

So glad I read your post before attempting to clean the white and green speck Irish linen wrap on this Jacoby cue. I will either use alcohol and a paper towel or Magic Eraser or a sponge with a little Dawn to clean it and then I'll finish it off with some q wax or butcher's wax. I was wondering...

    Stacked leather wrap

Yep. He did a stacked leather wrap for me years ago through Mueller on a Viking f-02. It was beautiful, dark and light gray. I ended up losing the cue, but man do I miss it and I've thought about it ever since. I actually messaged him earlier and he recommend using some q wax. I just applied it...

    Stacked leather wrap

What do you guys use to maintain the stacked leather wrap? Beeswax? Pledge with wax in it?

    Cleaning/Care of Stack Leather Wrap

How about beeswax or butcher's wax? Or I would think any type of leather protectant would do? You just want to have some type of protectant on there to keep it from drying out and or absorbing moisture correct? I recently acquired a gorgeous Diveney cue with a beautiful stacked leather wrap. And...

FS; Milk Dud Tips New Price

Nicely done. I like the way you got a nice even press on these with the convex shape. I made these before myself and they didn't look anywhere as nice as yours. Still a great tip though. Best of both worlds.

    Bustemante vs. Corey Deuel

It was incredible. Bustamante was in deadstroke the whole match. There was nothing Corey could do. It was a very special match. Very rare to see a player perform at such a high level and be in the zone the entire match. The last shot just capped it off. A fantastic finish to a fantastic...
