I recently purchased a Cognoscenti cue. It has a very nice weight and feel. Plays great. But I noticed that you can feel the metal rings in it and that they are slightly raised. Is there anything that can be done about this? Or is it best to leave it alone?

So glad I read your post before attempting to clean the white and green speck Irish linen wrap on this Jacoby cue. I will either use alcohol and a paper towel or Magic Eraser or a sponge with a little Dawn to clean it and then I'll finish it off with some q wax or butcher's wax. I was wondering...

What do you guys use to maintain the stacked leather wrap? Beeswax? Pledge with wax in it?

How about beeswax or butcher's wax? Or I would think any type of leather protectant would do? You just want to have some type of protectant on there to keep it from drying out and or absorbing moisture correct? I recently acquired a gorgeous Diveney cue with a beautiful stacked leather wrap. Nicely done. I like the way you got a nice even press on these with the convex shape. I made these before myself and they didn't look anywhere as nice as yours. Still a great tip though. Best of both worlds.
