My friend actually noted the same things that were suggested in this thread. He does some repair work and is expanding what he can fix all the time. We are going to true up the fit, clean thoroughly, put in the glue rings and epoxy back together and see what happens. Worst case scenario he has a...
My friend does do tip work at the pool hall and has a lathe, is there a specific Epoxy that works best for these inserts into the CF tube? This wasn't an expensive shaft so I'm ok with trying it myself with my friends knowledge, worst case scenario I have to pick up a new CF and I'll just use my...
Last night I heard a weird sound and my team mate also noted it. Check the tip and it looked fine but then I could see light between the insert and the carbon fiber tube. I could push it back in but curiosity got the best of me and I wrapped a cloth around it and pulled out the insert. Some of...
Vegas baby!! My 8 ball team that we just formed for spring session battled back from the losers side to win our LTC yesterday and head to Vegas. Just started APA in Jan. Of 2020 and can't believe I'm headed to Vegas
Comstock is.....unique. Keep an open mind, they have mostly valleys and then a couple diamonds. Equipment is cared for, it just doesn't look like a building that houses a pool hall when you pull in lol.
Been working at improving and moving from my old 8ball team to one with a friend who is a 7 and has another 7 who is a 660 fargo has helped a ton.
MVP for 8 ball spring session, first time playing in this league and pool hall. My 9 ball stats are rising as well, I beat two 7's and 20-0 against...
Thanks guys, I played my league match with it beat down and the results were great. I'm going to try to get another 20-30 games in it over the next few days and then lathe it slower to shape.
Thanks all for the help
It was a cuetec bowtie scuffer. The tip was fuzzy after it came off the lathe and I was hoping it would clear up with a bit more take off. I got it loaded with chalk and pounded down as the tip was "squishy" until I compressed it with a cue ball tapping into it.
Trying out new tips and my team captain had an extra techno dud to put on. Finished it and scuffed and this happened. Is this bad? Will it get better with play or anything I can do to fix it?
thank you.
The tables we are putting in are 7 foot pro-am tables. If we wanted to take out the dart area I can get another one or two but we are hoping to do 2 nights of a 6 team house league and 2 nights of darts league as there is a serious lack of places in the area who take dart and pool players...
We are lucky enough as a business to be able to buy a bigger bar/restaurant to move our bbq joint into. We have a sit down restaurant area and then the more "bar-ish" area where we are planning on installing 3 new diamond pro-am tables.
My questions are the following:
Lighting- what would you...
Quick question, I currently have a carbon fiber shaft that was made to mirror my wood shaft for my BHQ, 31.5" long with a .820 joint diameter. I'm going to be trying out a different butt that has the ability to add on extensions as I'm looking to see what I can do cue wise to help me be more...
It is and it isn't. It's weird how solid hitting it really is considering the length. The tip is 12.4mm, it's 31.5" even split. It was made by BHQ back in 07, a complete challenge cue and I really do love it but it's got just a couple short comings to fit what I like, by no fault of Brent's. I...
What is a bridge
I hate the lights over the table
Almost
Lol
So the mentions of building up my grip area in this thread got me looking at tapes to just wrap on the extension I'm having made for the cue, it will be perfect as I won't have any issues getting into the case and I can try a few...
Where can I get a cue with a butt that big! I think I'll try the baseball bat wrap depending on what diameter the new build comes in at. I'm hoping going with a butt that has a bigger diameter all around will help me in feel. I read on here recently how the bigger diameters from the past "felt"...
I'm hoping so, I was even thinking 1.35 might be the ticket. Any suggestions on what I can use to bulk up the extension piece to try out thickness changes? I don't know anything about cue finish and what may hurt it.
Hey guys, I'm sure this has been discussed before but I have a few questions pertaining to hand size, desired grip and cue feel.
I'm almost 6'7" tall, I have a wing span at 6'11" and my hands are 11.5" in circumference at the base of my fingers, 10.75" from wrist to finger tip and thumb to...
63" cue for me, I'm just under 6'7", actually want to go a bit longer, going to be benching my current setup as it doesn't fit in my cue case easily so I'm looking at going with something with an extension now, in the 66"+ Range
