    My Rhino experience

I really have to amend my entire comment on the rhino carbon fiber shaft, specifically the thought that it was making my hands black. I really think that was the chalk getting on the shaft and then transferring to my hand that was doing it. Also, the balls at the pool hall are very dirty...

How often do pros "practice"? What is enough?

There's something called personal pride where people excel at whatever they do. This is a characteristic that brings out the best in humanity, no matter what the endeavor. Nothing wrong with practice drills, it allows a person like me to open a can of whoop ass on an individual like you.😉

    My Rhino experience

Email to Rhino I emailed Rhino to ask them this question about the carbon fiber shafts, here is the message and their response below: Message: I have a rhino carbon fiber shaft I just received from you folks that has black carbon wiping off of it. Although it is getting to be less, it...

How often do pros "practice"? What is enough?

At 68 years old, I know what you are talking about. Most of my joints are a bit achy some worse than others, but they limit how much time I can put into practicing. My best practicing is doing ball arrangement exercises on the table. It's amazing how much this helps my game, as opposed to just...

    Best Billiard Balls

I think they use the same mixture of phenolic in all their balls, so I think the difference between their top of the line and the bronze is basically the detail in the different numbers or colors on the ball. That takes a lot of extra effort to manufacture.

How often do pros "practice"? What is enough?

Someone mentioned earlier it's quality over quantity time. I couldn't agree more. When I go to the pool hall before League I start running through different drills that challenge various position skills and shot skills around the table. I get so much more out of that than banging balls with...

    Taom Chalk

I would respond exactly the same, with the experience I have had with V10 and Pyro chalk.

    Cue Prices... Rediiculous!!!

The cost of sports equipment goes beyond just billiards, as everything that is professionally made will cost you dearly. Look at the price of these goalie pads: https://goalie.purehockey.com/product/bauer-supreme-mach-goalie-leg-pads-senior/itm/47424-41/

Super Touchy Subject Men vs.Women in Pool

It takes muscles to control any physical movement the body makes. Men are more muscular and would probably have a bit more control than women on average even in billiards. Even when it doesn't appear strength makes a difference, I think it does to a certain extent. For this reason I think men...

My aiming system is guessing....who use the Guessing System?

I just started reading the book Pleasures of Small Motions, and it appears that the best way to shoot is from the subconscious mind. After extensive practicing Through Time, making shots should come natural without much thinking about them. The more we use the conscious mind to think about...

    Best Billiard Balls

I have a set of dynosphere bronze and love them. They are very nice looking balls and play well. I've used them for a year now without any problems. As far as nails in pockets, the pocket backing has to be tacked in with nails which leaves the head of the nail exposed. That is an issue on my...

    Taom Chalk

Chalk lasts a long time, even dirty chalk like masters. There's no doubt that Masters does the job, but it does leave residue on especially the cue ball and on the table. Taom does not.

    Taom Chalk

People complain about the price but spend $1000-2000 on a cue, $3000-10,000 on a table, and all the other billiards needs.Does $20 on chalk that lasts a year or more sound expensive? Not from this prospective.

I verify my threads with calipers, and they are very accurate.

    Taom Chalk

Of the two Taom chalks, V10 and Pyro, both are very good at being considered clean chalks because they don't transfer on to the cue ball or the pool table. Of those two, I like the V10 a bit better because it is not as soft as the Pyro in my opinion. I use both of them at my home table because...

    My Rhino experience

I just got mine delivered today, and my experience is similar to yours. I wiped it down initially and got some black residue. Concerned about? We will see. I feel confident in what it has offered to me so far. The fit from shaft to butt was almost perfect, just a little bit of edge to it if I...

    Predator Cue Cases

I'm not saying Predator failed to try to take care of me, because I did thank them for trying in the warranty department. Where Predator has failed is with where the shoulder strap attaches to the bag. All the weight of the bag, which is substantial based on the type of case it is, puts too much...
