1. Chicago Rules!

You'll never exceed 16 bucks from each player...so, if you break and run out you will get 16 bucks from each player. If you and your partner get all the money balls and points (1 point for the one ball, 6 points for the six ball, etc etc) you and your partner get 16 bucks each...
2. Davenport donates to the Robb-N-Hood foundation

Well...well Nice to hear this. He definitely needed this. When i was hanging around, he couldn't get a good game for nuthin'. Good to see his year is going well
3. Chicago Rules!

Sorry, yes you shoot until you miss. If you commit a foul, they can't make you shoot again, the next guy gets ball in hand. If one man gets ALL money balls (not entire rack), then each player pays him 16 bucks!
4. Chicago Rules!

Donovan, Players: You always need 4 players. Draw pills for order. Highest number racks, lowest breaks, and number in between as ordered. So, the order is A, B, C, D Rules: Once broken, the balls are shot in numeric order (like 9 ball). The 1,5,8,10,13,15 are money balls. If Player A makes the...

6. Ever played it??

So, I figured the money part out!! With the amount they play with: if you get points (61+) it is worth \$2. Then, each money ball is worth \$2. So, if team A get points and 3 money balls, it is \$8 from Team B. If Team A gets all 7 money balls and Team B gets points, then Team B pays \$12...

8. Short stops

yep... Johnny Ross is still around, and still the same funny, drunk character he has always been. he doesn't play much anymore though. I know he is on a league team!!! Imagine that. It is Masters league though. I am not familiar wth Johnny Floyd, unless that is Johnny Ferber, Gainesville...
9. Anyone try jumping with this???

Seems Sketchy. If they are original Predator shafts, I doubt they jump very well. Because of the low deflection, it makes jumping not so easy. He may have altered the shaft in some way to make it better. My question: How did he build up the Predator shaft (if it is that) to make it the...
10. Is this a shark tactic?

I think it could be either/or. I have seen guys that just don't know the proper behavior for playing, because they got decent at shooting leaning on bar tables or in bars. Also, there are those guys who try to get into your head by doing that type of stuff. They want you to do exactly what...
11. Short stops

Jax has a ton of them. Harleys, Bankshots, Park Ave, Solids and Stripes, Six Pockets, Riggsys, Rack' em Up & Hookah, Dekes, 1st Coast, Corner Pockets, and UBC... They called Larry...Johnny!!! You should come back through here. All the guys you knew are probably ALL still around. Harley is...
12. Ever played it??

Very similar then! It is mostly a fun game! Everyone around has a good time! If anyone is interested in learning AND playing it...you should swing into UBC!! Some nights they will have 2 or 3 tables playing Chicago at once...that's 8-12 people!!! The pool room owner LOVES it!
13. Ever played it??

That's what they do at UBC. They will play from 9 at night until 6-7-8-9 the next morning!! They have fun, and I have fun watching. When you get some loud, funny guys together...they are always making the rail laugh!
14. Ever played it??

No, they don't play two racks to get 120...it's the team that has more of the 120. (ie 61-59, 70-50) If you are a better player than the others...you can walk away with at least 100-200 bucks! One of the guys makes about 400 a week!
15. Ever played it??

We will probably never know!!
16. Ever played it??

In Jacksonville (only at University Billiards) you will see them playing Chicago almost 7 nights a week. Ever heard of it? They may have tweeked the rules since Bob (from NY) brought it to us: You rack all 15 balls (1 at the head, and a particular order for the rest). Everyone draws pills...
17. Short stops

I spoke with our long time pool hall man, Larry Gayle. He's been around since dinosaurs!! His definition was somewhat different than I got the impression of. He says: The definition of a shortstop varies from person to peron. To Efren, a shortstop would be someone like Robb Saez, or Tony...

Not arguing anything...just saying what i have experienced, and learned.
19. Short stops

I don't hear the term shortstop very often here in Jacksonville, FL, but I have heard it. The way it was explained to me: A player who has the talent, but just isn't good enough yet. These type of people are everywhere. I have been in the pool rooms for about 3 years now, and i learn more...

After dating a pro, and being in the world of pros for a while, I found that there is a misconception amongst the lower level players. I did it to... I put these pros on a pedastool, as people do to actors and actresses, singers, etc. After spending day after day hanging out with Rodney...
