    Proper 2x4 case

I am 76 yrs old and been playing pool all over the country since I was a teenager. I have never seen another case like this one from Joe Porper. Has anyone ever seen one or does anyone else own one.To me it is a very functional leather case of a unique color and very well made. SO, I am...

    Cyanoacrylate refinishing my cue

I have refinished my cue a few times with super glue and I know the process. It has always come out great. My question is, as i am planning to do it again, must i remove all the existing cyanoacrylate finish completely or can I leave some of it, and apply more coats over it. I would prefer to...

    Cue refinishing

    perimeter light

I have played on a GC 5 that had a perimeter light above it...the rectangle reflections that presented on the balls I found very distracting, Below is a pic of my GC1 that has a solid 8' by 2' led (5000k) over it. A solid led like mine presents less distracting reflections on the balls and has...

Wooden Rail Blanks vs Rubber Cushions question

I am putting together a GC1 now at home and I plan to use the Championship Tour Edition 3030 cloth primarily because the GC I play on at my local pool room uses that cloth and it plays very well. As fast a Simonis 860hr and over 100 dollars cheaper.

    Cloth Selection and Rail Inspection

If the monarch cushions have the same triangle configuration as the newer k55 cushions, but are an 1/8" shorter across the top, it would figure that either one of the other sides of the triangle has to be shorter or one of the angles has to be different, no?

    Introduction to 1p?

It is somewhat important to preserve some semblance of a normal OP break which you can do with a 10 ball rack. If you want then to have an odd number of balls to play the game then just agree to remove one ball off the table after the break. I would suggest the ball closest to the spot should be...

RKC glued down cloth installation video

This is directed at Glen (RKC), it appears that you are back posting here. If so, could you address my original questions in this thread regarding Championship Tour Edition 3030 cloth on a 9 ft GC 1. I very much like the methodical approach depicted in your cloth install video on you tube...

Anyway to know if rubber has to be replaced before putting table together?

Thanks and I do understand what you are saying. However, don't facings come in different hardnesses whereby one can install a "softer" facing to play more like the original cushion? Keeping in mind tha we are only talking about a 1/8" facing.

Anyway to know if rubber has to be replaced before putting table together?

I have a GC1 with Monarch cushions that seem lively enough and so I plan to keep them. I would like to ad an additional 1/8" facing to the cushions to reduce the pocket size. Why would this be a problem as some are saying?

RKC glued down cloth installation video

Thank you....so Glen makes an IMPORTANT point about backing off 3/4 inches, so you have enough stretch left to pull the ends properlyand get the cloth evenly stretched in all directions. Do you find that with Championship 3030 that when stretching it to the max you still can pull the ends to...

RKC glued down cloth installation video

Glen...watched your video several times and I very much liked your step by step approach and explanation. I have a few questions, please. If I am doing a stapled install on my 9 foot GC 1, can I use your same step by step approach with staples rather than glue? I am planning to use Championship...

    T rails vs flat rails

So..if you agree that T rails, or even if you don't, play different than flat rails, what is it that makes the difference. Antique tables vs gold crowns for example. I know that the bolting down to the slate is different, vertical vs horizontal, but assuming that all bolts are solid and tight...
