    Tip needed to get rid of a deep mark on my shaft

    I have used wood putty to fill in large dents. After it drys.....light sanding on lathe..while spinning. micro mesh pads 1500/1800/2400/3200/3600/4000/6000/12000 you don't fell the dent, but you can see the filler. burnish with leather pad....the whole shaft seal with wax buff It works! Sax

    thank you I wish to Thank You all for the feedback. No more cutting groves in ferrule or tip!!!!! A thin layer of glue on some tips......dry.......light sanding...makes sense Some tips suck up glue like a sponge tape ferrule before applying glue.....great idea I still like to use fiber...
