    Bella Vista Arkansas

Haha....I guess that is a pretty accurate depiction. He recently broke his arm badly in a spill at Slaughter Pen (whatever that is). Just spoke to him. He'd actually been riding on his lunch break. Told me Coler Park is part of a new trail system he hadn't ridden yet, and that they have newer...

    Bella Vista Arkansas

My 42 year old son and his family live in Bella Vista... It's beautiful up there. He does ride the mountain bike trails but I don't think he'd be interested in gambling....but if I could back him I'd be willing to lay you 8/5......haha. And NO, he doesn't play pool at all.

The Cold Case of Biloxi Mike Surber's Murder

DAMN spliced........ If that isn't him it's a spitting image.....and that NOSE... Man that looks exactly like the pics I've seen of the guy that killed Mike. Surely someone will forward this to whatever authorities are involved in the case. Is Gulfport Doc still around? Didn't he actually SEE...

How big of a "pool sin" did I commit???

nail....head. It's just fun night out in this boring little town of 10,000 folks. Friday nights they have the tourney, and karaoke, and some of the ladies bring covered dishes to munch on. The tourney I played at Kappy's in Slidell, La. is a $10 entry as well but the calcutta gets rather...

How big of a "pool sin" did I commit???

Well damn...I did not know that was a "standardized" 8-ball rule. I hadn't played much 8-ball either until I moved back home where there is no pool hall and started playing in the this little 8-ball tourney at the local watering hole. I lived on the Ms. Coast for 20 years and mostly played...

How big of a "pool sin" did I commit???

Was playing in an 8-ball tournament at Kappy's in Slidell for the first time several months ago. My opponent got to the 8 and it was close to the rail and a long thin cut. He missed the 8 but the cue ball ran back up table and scratched. I thought I had won the game but NO, just a foul, BIH...

How big of a "pool sin" did I commit???

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm 63 and been around pool halls and gamblers since my bookie uncle ran a pool room in the the 60's. I KNOW what I did was very wrong and have never done anything like that before and never will again. My poor cousin doesn't play pool often anymore and...

How big of a "pool sin" did I commit???

Thanks everyone for the comments.. As I said I KNOW i was wrong in interfering in the match. It's possible the guy would have given him the game anyway, but NOT likely. It's just a small regular weekly tournament in a small bar in a small town with the same 12-20 amateur players every week...

How big of a "pool sin" did I commit???

Local Friday night 8-ball tournament. $10 entry and small $ calcutta. I'm in the hot seat waiting to face the winner of B side. It's my cousin who hardly ever plays pool anymore and it's his first time to play in this tournament. His opponent is Tyrone, a regular in the tourney and a league...

    Adams cue value

recommendation I'd like to recommend Scot Surbine of Proficient Billiards for the job. I have an old '70's Adam that I paid $50 for that I had refinished by him and I was amazed at how well it turned out. I promise you won't be disappointed and price was very reasonable. The refinish he did...

    Justice for Mike Surber

GulfportDoc It dawned on me that there is an AZ member (Gulfport Doc) who I think was actually at the pool hall the day Mike left with this guy and saw him in person.....I bet he could ID him in a heartbeat. I sent him a PM to check this photo out.

    Justice for Mike Surber

Wow, if that isn't him the guy's got a twin brother. The hair and hairline look perfect to me, especially the curls in the back. The eyes and ears look exactly alike, and most of all, that nose, with the deep creases around the nostrils, is a spitting image. And that wouldn't by any chance be...

    Pete Horn the road player??

Pete's old Huebler sneaky pete on Craigslist I don't know Pete but after reading this post I got to looking around for old Huebler cues for the hell of it. And I'll be damned if I don't come across this Craigslist ad in Fayetteville of someone selling a "1980's Huebler Sneaky Pete (Owned by...

Amen Magix, I was thinking the same thing. The shots were incredible, and that song is fantastic. Thanks for turning me on to that cat, Jesse. I haven't heard soul like that in a long time. And Magix, his name is ANTHONY HAMILTON.

    Justice for Mike Surber

latest news article in local paper 1/23 Here is a link to today's article in the local newspaper. Curiously, they are just now identifying "Jericho" as a suspect, rather than person of interest. Seems to me if they had been more aggressive sooner, they could have caught the guy. After all...
