I'm 44 now, but when I was about 38 I bought a simple Bushka. I think I paid about 6500. I've never been a great player and played with a bludworth and helmstetter for most of my pool days. I thought this cue would be magic when it got in my hands and it would make me play a ball better but I...
I thought about that when setting it up initially but I got a pretty high estimate from a Miami mechanic and after reading through the previous replies, it may start a brawl if I chose "wrong" on this issue! It's such a minor detail for that anyways, everything else feels great except for that...
Guys, much thanks for the input. Some of my feedback on the suggestions and questions.
- I live in Jamaica - I can't send the rails to anybody, it is very cost prohibitive with shipping and duties back and forth. So hopefully the solution is something that can be handled down here.
- The balls...
Thanks rev. Can this .5mm cause the rails to play so short? How could this height be adjusted? I only see how the rails are bolted down to the slate, doesn't seem adjustable.

I bought the tables used from the original owner. I'd like to think they're original. They're brown in color. I did check them for cracking before I recovered the rails.

I set up my GC3 in November 2011. Had to do it myself due to where I live and thanks to this forum and RKC's replies, I did a pretty good job and am able to solve all the issues I encounter keeping the table in decent playing shape. However, since I set it up I've noticed the rails play pretty...
I had a hard time selling my Bushka last year, people were valuing it from $7500-$10,000. I eventually let it go for $6500 on ebay. Was very similar to this one except mine had no inlays in the butt and no silver ring in the joint. It was in better shape and had 2 LOA's. In trying to sell mine...
Pete Tascarella told me to store my balabushka (before it was sold) upright on an interior wall. That's gotta be a credible source of advice on this matter.

I'd try and hit with as many cues as possible to figure out what kind of hit you like. I've recently gone through this myself and wish I did it long ago.

Don't wait, sell it to me! Seriously, pm when you decide! Always wanted a plain cue with a satin black finish, to find out one exists, is affordable and is a Joss...

I was honestly hoping a real mechanic would chime in and let me know if my "method" was doing any harm before you tried it...

This may sound crazy, but when I adjust the legs on my GC3, I kneel down under the table with my hands around the foot I want to adjust and use my back to raise the table. Just enough to reduce the friction of the foot I want to adjust and turn in quarter turn increments. Of course my back is...
I thought I had my GC3 pretty level but it does go off every few months. I don't reshim for fear of popping a seam, I just adjust it by using the legs. Is this the wrong way? I really don't want to reshim, bondo, recover etc...

I did forget to mention I had then made with kamui med black tips, was wondering if this and the steel joint combined would have given it a more solid hit.
I'm over any bad vibes on these cues. They will be enjoyed and will still look pretty cool for me and my son. Now if only he grows up...
