Gearing English Compensation - Thoughts & Questions

You would be amazed at the famous players and instructors that don't get this. Hello, Mr Lee?

    Fear of Feel

Thank you for proving my point. It wasn't meant as an attack at all, this how I honestly perceive your posts. I might see you at a tournament, like I did at the Smoky Mountain Shootout one year, and there's no way I would approach you because of your posts on this site. Same reason I couldn't...

    Fear of Feel

I cant take cte seriously because of Stan's belligerent posts. How can someone with such an attitude be taken seriously as a legitimate instructor? Really, shouldn't the chip on shoulder be toned down for public consumption? I'm truly afraid to ask an honest question for the response I might...

Cuttung shots with inside english.and the contact point.

I quoted Hal Mix in a post recently, in which he described this very effect-aiming the shaft at the contact point with slight inside English. If I can find it, I'll post it here.

This is exactly what I discovered as well. Glad someone else finally mentioned this effect, I've been feeling like the lone ranger around here. Even CJ's response was luke warm, basically saying if it works for me, don't question it.

    Looking for a coach

One issue I have is with instructors who use the "cookie-cutter" approach. This is where they strictly adhere to a preapproved manual that doesn't take into account the individual. Basically, everyone gets the same lessons, although tailored to their skill level. Another issue with instructors...

Hal Mix had an interesting idea in his book about aiming with inside. He aimed his shaft at the point of aim on the object ball. In the 2nd paragraph:

Stun lengthens as much as draw? How can that be? This game never stops surprising me.

I'm not so stubborn that I know it's possible to learn something from virtually anyone. However, why would I pay money to someone who knows less than I do?

    Looking for a coach

I just looked at this list of instructors in my area and they can't beat me. I'm looking for instruction but not from someone that knows less than I do. Hopefully, I can arrange some lessons with Mr Lee. I'm very open minded but the guys I know on this list can't teach me anything.
