I know at Q-Master's in Va. Barry has Dave Bollman, He doesn't teach, but he has a Pro Shop, and is usually in action there. He can be found there usually every day. I think Barry lets him use the place free of charge, Dave keeps all the revenue from making cues and repairs. Good arrangement...

I use bees wax and rub it on the wrap, then take a piece of leather and burnish it (rub agressively but lightly) it will take care of your wrap, filling imperfections and blending it all together. It works the best for me, been doing it for over 30 years with no problems. I would not use wax...

If you are just trying to smooth out the wrap, and not clean it. I have for years used Bees Wax and a peice of leather, rub the Bees wax on and Burnish it with the smooth side of the leather, works like a charm and doesn't leave it tacky, just fills in the ridges. Usually needed on brand new...
