    Pause on the backswing

These are 2 small videos from drills that I do daily at the moment. Would love to hear your opinion (and others as well, whoever cares to watch) https://we.tl/t-jvEjC0hI8m

    Cue acceleration, the feeling

that's exactly what I mean. But in my "artistic" brain, I always try to think in terms of analogies so piercing through explains this better for me.

    Cue acceleration, the feeling

Pretty sure there is a thread similar to this somewhere once again, but I'd like to address this from a different angle. So being a B/C level player, I started grasping the correct way of stroking and accelerating, but of course I'm nowhere near the consistency and this is probably along with...

    Pause on the backswing

So probably there is a thread somewhere in archives about this, but let's revisit the topic for a moment: I seem to be more successful if after the last backswing, I pause deliberately before accelerating into the cue ball. Some players don't do that (e.g. Efren, which takes the pause before...

Best tool for straight stroke training?

Is there some sort of training aid/tool which is good for at home or also at pool hall straight stroke practice? Please don't give me the bottle thing, which is not stable, usually doesn't give you ideal feedback in terms of perfect straightness etc. I saw Jasmine Ouschan striking through a...

    Bridge hand thumb issue

Of course open bridge! Thanks for the insight, might have to experiment with different firmness and also wrist direction for optimal results!! P.S my shaft is 12.4, pro taper I guess (Revo)

    Bridge hand thumb issue

Hello everyone, I recently realized that having my thumb VERY(!!!) firmly fixed on a knuckle of my index finger is super important for stable cueing. Is there some sort of exercise for that apart from consciously putting oneself in a lot of discomfort through repetition? I have heard from an...

Using whole cue ball for position play? Wrong or right?

What my coach keeps telling me, is that there is no such thing as a "kind of a draw shot", it's either lowest point on the cue ball or a completely different shot. I guess y'all disagree. But maybe it's for making my progress quicker as mentioned by some of you too.

Using whole cue ball for position play? Wrong or right?

Hello everyone! Where I live there are not many top pros really - maybe a couple 700-730 Fargo players. One of them is my coach and he has a lot of ball knowledge, certainly and he has helped me improve immensely. BUT: I tend to question some of his "demands" from time to time about certain...

    Break Cue

Looking for a solid breaker, for a good price. My budget is somewhere between 200-300$ and would be looking for something between 18-20 Oz. Low deflection or carbon shaft would be preferred. Please share your offers/suggestions.

    Predator Arcos 2 cue ball

Hey everyone, I am considering buying the Arcos 2 cue ball to carry around my club. Balls which the club has are regular Pro Aramiths and the cue ball doesn't even have measles (it has a small Aramith logo on it). That cue ball feels to me a little bit wobbly and plus to that, I can't discern...
