Who's the most intimidating player you've ever seen?

Intimidating players...Ive seen few over the years. Toby Sweet has to be the on my top 5 all time. He isnt a big man, nor loud or aggressive but he was like a stalking Lion at the pool table, still is and he's over 70. Backroom legend "Monster" John Rouse {RIP} was another...he was set on kill...

    Question about the bridge.

Couldnt agree more. Ball position, body structure and the other dozen variables will work against you if you try to reproduce bridge distance to that high of a percentage. Comfort is consistent with repetition...but what do I know? Voodoo~~~isnt SPF a suntan oil protection level? :p

    Break With Playing Cue?

I guess Bustamante is the hard break exception? Wait, or Earl must be that, no...I just remembered Johnny Archer has to be it. Oh God, I meant Dennis Hatch. I guess Sigel, the winningest tournament player ever is wondering how he won all those years with a big break? You break soft and I...

    Break With Playing Cue?

Personally, anyone that breaks with their playing cue must break like a wet rag. Breaking the balls can result in a damaged tip or worse...one that flies across the room with barreling velocity. I cant say Ive ever seen a top tier player or anyone with half a break use his playing cue to crush...

    Pete Ohman!!!

I can vouche for the cue and the guy selling it. Longer it sits the longer it will take you to get it in your case!!

    Warm up strokes

Thank GOD for Old School... Geez Fran, you forgot the first FEMALE BCA MASTER INSTRUCTOR, former WPBA Prez/board member during its formation and author of countless "instructional articles" for the billiard rags. Old school was just showing some class and modesty... When/if you meet her your...

    Cohen runs 431 !!!

I knew someone would have mistaken my humor, figures it would be a literary man. I watched them work together in South Florida when Stefan made his maiden voyage. HE also told me what an impact Danny made in his game long before he won the 14.1 title while I sparred with him daily the few months...

    Cohen runs 431 !!!

Came from an excellent source that Stefan Cohen put together a smooth 431 today in Paris...not bad for a self taught through video {and a lil help from Danny D} player!!

If you owned an original Balabushka...

Pete is a great choice and probably the way Id go too but not the only choice. Barry Szamboti, Dennis Searing or John Showman are also excellent choices for both authenticating and refinishing.

    Great players who worked.

Shame on you guys from Texas...:p The other guy not mentioned is Tommy Sanders, who was in auto sales. Legend has it he was a ball or 2 under world speed. Plus, no touring pool player could get there on the golf course with him either.

    Great players who worked.

I always mention John DiToro, IMO the best all-around player in America with a full time job for 3+ decades. He has always worked in the 30 yrs we've been friends...ran the Florida tour for yrs, took down many Florida Pro events as a player and was "Player of the year" at least once. At 60yrs...

    best coach

Make friends with a Phillipino player, fly to the Phillipines and play 10 hours a day with them. Cost ya about the same, you'll see some sights and and learn in the environment that produces stone cold killers. Never know, just might be in the water there, smirk. Good Luck!!
