That's interesting, the ones winning are often described as opposites. Ah yes, and they are the most common on non low-end cues.

Flat out saying they do not is very misleading and implies no relationship whatsoever. And in most cases, from what I've seen of people's bridge lengths, it does have a negative effect. Of course, I still prefer smaller tips and LD shafts for other reasons.

You do a lot more multi-rail sets and safety play/kicking in 9 ball than straight pool. For everything else, straight pool is the most pure pool game, imho.

I have seen those in person, but still swear I saw ones significantly larger than any other balls (more than the 5% larger fourball ones) And yeah that shrinking makes sense, especially with the larger and heavier carom balls.
