    Best Players In Baltimore

I have a story about Punky jones. There use to be a bar called “the sunset tavern” in Hagerstown, this was in 1995 or 96, they held weekly 8-ball tournaments and you could qualify for the big tournament af the end of the 10 weeks if you finished first second or third,. Well I managed to qualify...

Starting again after 20 years - where to start, please?

Don’t worry about draw shots. Practice your fundamentals using center cueball. A good drill is the old line drill across the side pockets. Take cueball in hand on each shot and hone in your stance, bridge, staying down, keeping your head perfectly still, etc. but if you really want to...

    C J Wiley

lol I heard the story from CJ himself On YouTube, But I can’t remember exactly how it went. I think he played Luat even and lost, then he played Efren getting 2 games, and I think he won. But you’re right, CJ is definitely up there with some of pools best when it came to gambling

Efren beat CJ too. Once giving him 2 or 3 games on the wire.(correction) CJ won that. He wouldn’t play Efren even.

Let’s use Efren as an example. He’s retired from the professional pool scene, but he still does gambling exhibition type matches and Not only is he competitive he wins at some of them. So you’re telling me In his prime he wouldn’t be able to compete with top pros on tables with smaller pockets?

I understand what you’re saying, but the greats of yesteryear would adjust to the modern tables of today’s game. I’m not saying you,but there are those who think the opposite ,and say players back in the day only played that good because of how big the pockets were.

    History of a glove?

It was trendy to make fun of people who wore gloves. But those same people spend 2000 on a cue and think they’ll automatically play better. 🤔

    I love 9-ball but...

I agree.nine ball is just way too easy for the pros, they need to spot all balls made on the break and no jump cues. that may help in making more, difficult
