I ab prefer a thin(dime or maybe a penny thickness)..i always cut my tip down about halfway thickness when new…play with it for a couple days and (because there is usually a little mushrooming,reshape it and cut another layer off,and BURNISH it ,and voila! I never have to touch it again until it...
Buddy I wish you luck in trying to get that price... I LOVE how his cues play, but trying to get anything CLOSE to retail on Ariels cues is hard...at best

I think his “ Lakewood “ shafts are better than anything out there honestly... including carbon fiber and regular maple ( although pats maple is good too)
