Fischer tables used marble beds.

Their handicap system has a formula built in for table difficulties. There is a a difference in scoring between a valley & diamond if the LO is doing their job correctly.

When you need it you need it. How exactly is a carbon fiber shaft less complicated? All cues have deflection you just have to know your cue.

You also diminish the ability to actually use it.

Neither have I. Understanding & using squirt & deflection is a large part of the game imo.
