Its a Dufferin challenger made in around the 70s and 80s if i recall. Solid commercial tables that havent been manufactured for decades.
And i wasnt planning on recording that day or i would have worn a longer shirt. Lol. Next time, i promise.
That barbox one seemed to work so I tried one yesterday on the 9 footer. Score of 7 to 4 on Jan 28\22
My apologies in advance for the occasional plumber impressions.
Looking for a Jacoby jump cue that has the extension handle. Every place online seems to be sold out and Jacoby appears to only make ones with a typical one pc handle now.
Thanks
I couldn't stand to watch it either.
What I don't understand is why any player would slow down that much. I know if I took 6 minutes before each shot I would be so out of stroke I wouldn't be able to make a ball. Used to be people would try to "ice" their opponent by keeping them in the chair...
In addition to this a lot of his matches at derby are likely not entered into the Fargo rate database afaik.
Here is a list of his opponents:
Ruslan Chinakhov
Shaun Wilke
John Gabriel
Thorston Hohmann
Shannon Murphy
Eklent Kaci
Chris McDaniel
Tim De Ruyter
Rob Saez
Lee Van Corteza
Carlo Biado...
If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Seriously through it could also be a tip issue. Sometimes if a tip is coming "unglued" or even delaminating it can make a similar sound. I would have a repairman check it out before assuming its the ferrule.
I know a member with the username DBK used to make them. I believe he is a cue maker from Russia. A lot of Russian Pyramid cues that I've seen have the butterfly shafts.
I was reminded recently that when someone who has been there countless times has something to say it is well advised to listen. You may not always agree or follow the advice but only the foolish would dismiss the opportunity.
Thanks Dean for sharing and please continue to do so.
I'm assuming this is for a Chinese 8-Ball event? I thought Shane disliked the game, or maybe he's getting appearance $$. Either way, good to see him abroad.
Speaking of broads, is the one in the white dress an amputee? :shocked2:
I was gonna say Crystal Palace too, but I meant the one in Winnipeg. Tons of memories growing up there watching the local greats and the occasional road players come through town. Tough action for sure.
