Your fix is a little “off” The thread I 5/16-14. It is modified in that there are no threads on the lower part of the pin. Off the shelf shaft can be easily modified to fit.

Ditto! I’ve replaced a bunch with Tomahawk. Way better than what the manufacturers use in most.
