Low Pro Players - Why Do They Do It?

If these folks are playing pool tourneys without a side job then A. They are good enough and occasionally DO win some cash. or B. They are independently wealthy.

Name a pool hall you wish was still open today

Peoples Billiards in Memphis Tn. Used to sit and watch the old timers play 3 cushion for hours. This was a REAL pool hall. Located downstairs in a dark alley. Smelled of cigars and sweat. Loved the place!

The REVO is taking over pool

I purchased a BK Rush with the 12.9. I had a crappy old break cue and my game is good enough that a new break cue was in order. Did not get raped or robbed on the price, but it was hefty considering other offerings. My thinking was...people want it so much, if I don't like it I will be able to...

Earl vs SVB race to 21

I am on the fence about Earl being the best 9 ball player....I would give Efren the nod in that vote...but it would be a small nod at best. I certainly enjoy watching Efren play more than I do watching Earl...He makes it seem as though it is a baby sitting job, not a pool match.

What would you do for "Pool" if you hit the lottery?

I'd move to Vegas and open a "Cat House" for pool players only.....of course I would include the ladies in these decadent plans by also opening a "Chippendales Review" club as well.....lolo

About to Captain a Team for the 1st Time in APA - Advice?

Well Buddy....I think you're inviting a major headache into your life, but if it is your way of giving back....so be it. My advice would be to drink heavily at least 1 hour prior to game time....LOL

    E-Grip pool cue holder review

Perhaps so Pocket....I am sure you have posted one or two things here as have I. Invariably, one of the first replies is by some asshat troll who has a shoe size bigger than their IQ. weaned off their mommas breasts too early perhaps and starving for attention....I dunno, but it does get a mite...

    Is pool growing?

We all know that Pro's take and rarely contribute to the venues they play at. I'm going to disagree with that premise. Players like SVB, Earl, Efren....etc. etc do indeed contribute to the venues they play in even if they don't spend a dime themselves. Take a look at the gallery whenever one...

    E-Grip pool cue holder review

Well lets eliminate the haters right off....yes this costs 75$ .....yes that is expensive....I don't give a damn if you think me foolish or extravagant, it's my money and I shall spend it as I see fit! Now on to the review. I have used many of the available cue holders that have come onto the...

    Racking template (?)

I may be as dense as depleted uranium , but I fail to see why it is not possible to let each man rack for himself. The opponent has the option to inspect and call for a ref. if all is not kosher. Perhaps this is just a way too simple answer to an ongoing problem. I, for one, have always been a...

E-bay and other rip offs for BK rush.

Was able to purchase a BK Rush last week and am delighted with it, but not so delighted I would pay $1200.00 for it. Tell ya what....if anybody wants to buy it for $1100.00 hit me up.....I'll put aside the $700 for purchase when they become available again and pocket the $500 profit. Shows me...

    APA and Mosconi Cup

Well I signed up for league play at OWT but have yet to hear any more about it. I was told they intended to have Wed and Thur leagues of 8 & 9 ball. I am trying to get on a Wed night 8 ball team if possible.

    ...

It is called the APA world championship. If your primary pool playing is within the APA then that comprises most of your pool "World". Anyone in the world can join and play regardless of physical location. Yes it requires relocation in some cases, yes it requires joining the APA "World" and...

    APA....How does it work?

IMHO the biggest problem with APA is not the LO but rather the team players and captains that do not mark score cards correctly. Intentional safeties are often marked incorrectly as a missed shot. A skilled player is able to rearrange the furniture without penalty when this happens, thus leading...

    Racking template (?)

Looks like the obvious answer would be to have the breaker rack his own balls subject to inspection by his opponent and/or a referee. You wanna use a "MAGIC" rack....bring your own.....got a special triangle....bring it with you....racking your own eliminates 100% of controversy over the process.
