    Abe Rich

For Abe's fans, I took this picture shortly before the sign came down. I can't help but wonder if it was the original sign from the 70's.

Complete Fullsplice Build step by step

Let's see if I can get these to attach.... The fullsplice, there is allot to be said about the fullsplice cue. I think of it like a classic muscle car. It looks good and it's very tough. Building a fullsplice cue is no easy task, as it took me years to learn the methods used. I am going to take...

Your video of the sewing machine motor install on your Hightower is down. Can you repost?

    Parda wood

Why would you think it is like particle wood? I don't have time to reach out to McDermott, but suggest you call to ask them about the wood in their cues. There are a ton of woods out there with generic, non-scientific names, and this tends to muddy the waters. That said, a quick Google Search...

    Mach 3 Safe Z Question

Sounds like you're saying you want to set a different "Rapid Height" in your program as opposed to a "Safe Z." As previously mentioned, you should be able to set that in your CAM program or just manually edit the Gcode. We never did hear any feedback the last time you asked for help with your...

    Cue Equipment for sale ....

The Taper Shaper is a manual machine with a taper bar; not CNC. Kelly's CueCut could be configured for the CueMonster CNC.

    Beeswing Narra

Great work and beautiful cue, Mike. In my opinion, describing that figure as "beeswing" does not do that outstanding piece of curly narra justice.

Problem with 4th axis on CNC

Any luck tracking down the issue? A loose set screw on the timing pulley could to it, just like backlash. On the first rotation it is taking up the space between the screw & the flat on the shaft. After that it the axis keeps moving forward the correct amount since that gap has been eliminated.

    Mach 3 Display Table Question.

I'm not sure what you're talking about for "Display Table," so I'll offer a few suggestions for Mach3. To display larger GCode, go to Function Cfg's ->Fonts to select the size & font for your DRO's, Labels, Code & Buttons. If your issue is with displaying the toolpath, try a combination of...

    sanding mandrels part 2

Interesting. Who did you send payment to? I hope when dealing with an unknown seller folks are paying as "goods and services" to protect themselves. ~Beau

    New CNC coming soon

Good question. I'm assuming you're asking about ID threading since the outer threads can be done with a straight fluted endmill.

    New CNC coming soon

Welcome, Shane, and thank you so much for your prompt reply. I think you will generate increased interest by sharing details about the machine as you have done. As you pointed out, there are poor quality hobbyist cnc machines everywhere, so I look forward to hearing about your improvements and...

    New CNC coming soon

Thank you for sharing your experience with the machine. I look forward to seeing more info about it in the future as well as seeing more feedback. I'm not a fan of "fishing" posts that don't give the prospective "fish" adequate information. A simple PM would not have answered the questions for...

    New CNC coming soon

I'm all for diversity of cuemaking suppliers and improvements. Based on the photos alone, I can tell someone has put some effort into the control panel. If that attention to detail extends to the rest of the assembly, I am sure it is a quality offering. Unfortunately, details have been...
