    Jayson Shaw on a roll.

That’s correct, Mr. Zingale (Cue Ball Kelly) was interviewed on some network sports show by Don Criqui and spoke about Babe running over 700.

    Jayson Shaw on a roll.

Hi Stu, great to see you today at Amsterdam Billiards! In the late ‘70s, I got to see Irving Crane and Babe Cranfield play an exhibition match. They were past their prime, and neither one played great that day. Still, they competed hard. You could tell they had tremendous respect for each other...

New Full Splice Rosewood 60” Classic Tascarella

Beautiful cue! I'm guessing you had input into the design, and, if you did, you have exquisite taste.

He asked for help,I tried but.........................

It's funny b/c in the old days, no one was willing to help anybody else. You had to gamble to get a better player to even shoot a game with you, and if you were the weaker player you had to try to learn just from matching up. Measureman, here you are willing to share your extensive knowledge...

Beautiful cues and the case is awesome too!!! I remember the Viking cases. If I recall, they were extra long.

Pulling for Jeannette Lee & family

I'm not one for starting threads on this forum -- this may be my first. But Jeannette Lee came to mind, and I thought we could put all of our collective good will, prayers, and wishes together and send them to Jeannette and her family in the form of positive energy towards a full recovery. I...

Dinko2222 Cases please let see some of the members

It’s funny you say that. I ordered a 2x2. Have a few 1x2’s and two 2x4’s. Figured this would allow me to take 2 cues to a tournament/league with less weight.

Beautiful cases -- very stylish. More masterpieces from Joe's workshop. I'm not a car person, but they'd look good in a red sports car with a black interior! If you don't mind me asking, what are the smaller case/pouches for?

Dinko2222 Cases please let see some of the members

I've got one on order! Heard excellent feedback and put in the order after seeing some nice photos on this forum about Dinko. He's been quick to respond and is all-around easy to deal with.

Very nice cases! They look elegant and sturdy.

    Babe Cranfield

L.S. Dennis, pt109 and measureman, it's great that you are discussing Lassiter and Babe. It's important to remember what these great players accomplished. I'm in touch with one of Babe's sons, and he'll be happy to hear that you're keeping Babe Cranfield's name alive in the pool community. From...

    Scruggs Titlist conversion

Beautiful cue -- nice to show off the full splice by keeping the cue wrapless. Titlist and Scruggs are a strong combination. GLWS!

    Babe Cranfield

Bob - Babe had not been competing much for years before the early 60s. He told me once that the reason he got back into tournaments at that time was because, after the Hustler, the prize money got better. Also, he had two sons who were getting ready to go off to school so his family could use...

Bob Jewett Recieves BCA President's Award

Fantastic to hear about this great honor. Amazing how many different ways Bob has been advancing and supporting our sport. Congrats, Bob! -- Larry Moy (P.S. Thanks for patiently explaining what is going on to me every time we're at a 3-C tournament!)

    Brunswick case lid recommendations

You may want to try a local shoe repair store. I've bought several old Brunswick cases of this type, and they've helped repair these, including replacing the straps used to close the cases. They might be able to replace a top. As an option, if you keep your eye on ebay, you might be able to pick...

    Tournament Records?

Agree with Bob that there do not seem to be any compiled lists. For certain tournaments in what some might call 14.1's Golden Age (i.e., before the 70s), Charlie Ursitti has some surprisingly detailed records. I wouldn't be surprised if he has some tournaments charted inning by inning, game by game.
