FWIW this is why I like to take detailed pictures of everything before shipping. After the items are shipped misunderstandings and corrections become hugely painful.

Oil tan leather is the type of leather that lasts forever. It shrugs off scratches like Chuck Norris stares at flies to kill them. Easily. Well not exactly but any scratches are easily rubbed out and this leather ages extremely well.
