BHQ, Could you send me photos when you make some cues with these? Call it a finders fee:grin: Just kidding about the finder's fee but I would love to see some photos of your cues, if or when you have time, (or direct me to your website if you have one). I like butterfly points on cues. my...

That's a great idea. I'd love to be able to get close to some of the wonderful cues I only get to see in pictures. The Smithsonian museum as well as others have traveling displays that are treated very well and allow people in all areas of the country to see them. I'm not saying that this is...

    Stuck tenon

To answer your original question, take a small flat head screw driver and heat it red hot. Push it into the wood, it will burn it's way in. When it cools, you should be able to unscrew the tenon from the cutter. It might be possible to do this without the heat as well but that is how I was...

    EBONY on craig's list

There is a local guy here in OR (about a 20min drive from my house) that has run a mill in the area since before I moved here, 16 years ago. He mainly cuts wood for gun stocks... Thought this might help someone out. I'm low on money or I'd most likely buy these, thought I'd pass this along...

    oil finish

I'm not sure of how you do it on a cue, but here is my take as a gunmaker. Just for a reference, here are a couple of my stocks: Almost all high end custom guns use some sort of oil finish. Here is the process as my dad (Darwin Hensley) taught me. He is a very well know gun stock...

    cue maker questions

I'm new here but when I came to this section I was under the impression that "ask the cuemaker", implied that there might be a panel of cuemakers or one "dear Abby" sort that would be answering the questions. KJ, I don't know if your plan will be implemented but it would be nice to know that...

    Table saw shaft tapering machine

Thanks, I like the looks of it. The Bludworth machines are also high on my list. They seem to be very well made from the pictures he sent me and my conversation with Mr Bludworth on the phone have been informative and helpful so far. I appreciate the input.
