    I recently bought a custom cue (my first) w/two shafts. One has some sort of finish--I assumed it was wax; in any case it's shiny and reasonably slick, but doesn't seem affected by hand oil. The other has a finish only for the first 6" or so above the joint; above that it's "dull" and not...

    Newbie Question

    It is a great cue. I'm not sure whether it's considered Level One or Two: It has a maple forearm with four cocobolo points, a plain cocobolo buttsleeve, and ringwork at A and B only.

    I've just acquired my first cue with two shafts--a Nitti with a flat-faced phenolic joint and radial pin. I assume that the best practice is to alternate playing the two shafts, rather than using one exclusively and "saving" the other? Thanks.
