This is crazy. Stop with the misinformation. The $40 was for the tables. The payout was intended to come from the $.50 per match per player. They didn't even have a $40.00 fee until last year when they stopped plugging the tables.

The "Based on a full field" is a weak argument. First the page doesn't say that. Second, The registration closed a month before the Tournament. They knew exactly what amount of participation they would have. You can see the page with the giant $125,000 at the Napa website. click on 2013...

I guess they can't really tell the truth about payouts though. Anyone who would pay $1000+ in travel expenses to win a tournament that pays $360.00 for first is LOCO. If you win all 3 8ball 9ball and 10ball, you can break even for the trip.

Napa considers you a member if you have ever played 1 match in the league lifetime. So it's hard to compare apples to apples. Napa has never had more than 600 players at the national event. Tap has had thousands at the super billiards expo. All I know from my own experience.

Talking about Vegas is foolish for a league this size. You could run a tournament this size with 40 tables in a Warehouse somewhere.
