Celebrations on top of pool tables?

While I would never condone standing on top of a pool table, the fact is that these things are solid and most likely aren't going to be phased by the extra weight. Now as far as the cloth/cushions being damaged, that's a different story but the weight itself won't hurt anything. I can't...

    GCIV Rail Threaded Plate Upgrade

Personally, I will always recommend to have the floating nut plates removed. It only takes one cross threaded bolt/nut plate that has to be dug out and repaired to change your mind! If you're replacing the nut plates, make sure you fill the void in the subrail with a piece of hard wood...

My Black Crown project - need some tips

Also, if you remove the flashing before mounting the cushions, it makes it easier to align them more precisely to the top of the subrail.

My Black Crown project - need some tips

I like to cut that mold flash off with a sharp scissors. Works fine and is much easier and quicker than sanding, IMO. Give it a try.

Video walk through of installing Simonis on a 7' Diamond

Thanks, RKC I do owe you a debt of gratitude for training me on bed and rail cloth installation. I am one that prefers to disassemble the rails on Diamonds when I recloth them. I just find it easier and can pull the cloth tighter that way. For sure takes longer but yields better results for me.

My Simonis cloth plays extremely slow? Help or Advice Appreciated

Hi Geoff, We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, buddy! I say its correct as is but the black light test will be the proof, short of seeing which side the logo is printed on. Have a great day!

My Simonis cloth plays extremely slow? Help or Advice Appreciated

Here's a few comparison pics of the top and underside of Simonis 860 in Slate Grey. The bottom in noticeably "nappier" and not near as smooth as the top side. IMO it's obvious that the OP's cloth is indeed installed correctly.

My Simonis cloth plays extremely slow? Help or Advice Appreciated

One way to tell for sure would be to turn the room lights off and shine a black light on the cloth. You should see a serial number printed on the cloth which is a security measure that Simonis uses to tell if the cloth is indeed Simonis. I don't think the serial number will show up if the...

    Pictures of hackwork section!

Glen, you are right.... the bad work needs to be corrected! It's sad some of the work I come across that is done by guys that have been doing tables for years and years. I think the main problem is just lack of proper training. That's why I am very greatful to have learned a lot of this...
