When Efren and Ralf Souquet played in the Sands Regency Finals in Reno years ago Ralf would rack the 2B in the 2nd row, on the opposite side of where he broke from. The announcers even said he did that so it would come down table along with the 1B.
Every table???
Never said that. I've always referred to my Gold Crown IV.
I've played on Nick Varner's Gold Crown V and the spreads after the break were better. The same goes for other tables that I have played on as well.
You don't know that. Tables just seem to play differently at times. Only time will tell.
And whatever that idiot u12armresl said you can rest assured he has no clue what he's talking about.
Balls spread out. Alot of times I make a ball.
But 90% of the time or more I just don't seem to have a runnable rack. This has been going on for 20+ years. I remember years ago I would get so frustrated that I would throw balls against the wall.
Maybe it's just me. Maybe it's the Gold...
All I'm hoping for is that I get some decent chances to runout. I don't get those on the Gold Crown IV. At least not very often. About one chance every 10-12 breaks. If this Diamond gives me 2-3 chances every 10-12 breaks it will have been worthwhile.
I went with the League Cut corners. 4.75 and the sides 5.25. My GCIV has tight pockets - 4.5 corners and 4.75 sides. If I want to play on a tight table I will go downstairs and play on the Gold Crown IV. If I want a table with slightly more open pockets I will walk over and play on the...
This new Diamond table can't get here fast enough.
Went downstairs to the Gold Crown IV earlier. Broke 30 times. One chance. Thats 1 chance. Just one chance to run out. The other 29 times had nothing.
I thought there might be a better option. Better option FOR ME, that is.
Plus I was having a hard time finding what I was looking for.
I stumbled across this one yesterday.
FYI Folks,
This is exactly the same light I have over my Gold Crown IV.
Works just fine.
Looks just fine to me.
I'm sure it will be fine for the Diamond.
As I've said, it could turn out to be something temporary so I am not going all out here.

I like that style. Old fashioned I guess.
Plus, as I've said before, since this could be a temporary thing I don't want to spend a ton of $$$.
I think I might have found the light...
I'm looking for a pool table light for the new Diamond Professional. The table will be a 9-footer so the light needs to be at least a four fixture light. The one I have on my Gold Crown IV is about 5 1/2 feet long. It works just fine. Most of the ones I see anymore are only about 4 feet...
Their website says League Cut.
Either way, as I've said many times, the Gold Crown IV and it's 4.5 corners and 4.75 side pockets are very tight. So if I want to practice on a tight table I can go down to my basement. If I want a slightly more forgiving pocket I can walk 50 feet to my upstairs...
Since my Gold Crown IV plays tough and has 4.5 corner and 4.75 sides I decided to go with the slightly larger pockets on the Diamond. It will have 4.75 corners and 5.25 sides.
4-6 months. Will be a long wait. Maybe I will luck out and have an early delivery.
I don't believe so. This one is direct from the Diamond factory. Aaron Berger is the guy I am dealing with. Although I have emailed with Heath Manning.
With all options factored in, including sales tax, delivery, set up, etc, etc.......$11,323.45.
This is the style that I have coming.
If you click on this link and scroll all the way down you can see the various leg styles.
