    Missed This 11 Consecutive Times

I tried this a little while ago. Shot some medium length straight-in draw shots. Focused on getting the bridge hand flat on the table. It actually seemed to help. I made most of them. I hope this isn't just a quick fix that only will last a time or two. Thanks Fran! r/DCP

    Missed This 11 Consecutive Times

https://pad.chalkysticks.com/ca7fa.png What's funny is that I can do this drill and hit the CB with the power draw stroke and a great deal of the time I can shoot it right between the two object balls. With around 1/8 of an inch clearance. But when it comes to actually pocketing the OB with a...

    Missed This 11 Consecutive Times

Both ways. You are probably right. But typically I don't have a problem with the straight-in follow shot or the straight-in stun shot. It's just the straight-in draw shot.

    Missed This 11 Consecutive Times

Both ways. Plus I rattled 3-4 as well. Straight in shots have always been my nemesis.

    Missed This 11 Consecutive Times

The reach really wasn't a factor. It might look like it on the drawing but it wasn't a factor.

    Missed This 11 Consecutive Times

https://pad.chalkysticks.com/9158d.png I missed this straight-in draw shot 11 consecutive times tonight. And I wasn't trying to miss either. This is really bad folks. Not even borderline pathetic. It is pathetic. What makes the straight-in draw shot so hard??? r/DCP

When You Are In A Slump

https://pad-v1.chalkysticks.com/a8314 What do our instructors here recommend to do when you get in a slump? I am so bad anymore I can't hardly make anything or even run 2-3 balls. I hosed up the diagram you see here. Missed the 2 Ball. Normally I would have gotten this spread out but I am...

    Painters Tape Question

I can't get it to paste. But it's currently on Page 3 of the Main Forum. The title is Tape Drill.

    Painters Tape Question

I guess I need to make it clear. I am concerned about the 4-5 foot burn streak in the middle of the table. Using a break cloth doesn't help.

    Painters Tape Question

I saw in another thread that Bob Jewett had mentioned using Painters Tape for the tape drill. So that got me wondering. Most on here know that I break alot of racks of 9 Ball. And the best place on my Gold Crown IV to break from is just 2-3 inches off the right rail by the 2nd diamond. The...

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

FYI, I never said I only made a ball 6 times out of 107 breaks. I said I either failed to make a ball, had no shot, or both. The last few days it's gotten a little better. And for those that posted 20+ year old threads of me commenting - not complaining - about this, yes, they are right...

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

First rack today with the older template - break and run. Wasn't easy though. Had to make an off-angle bank into the side on the 1B. Three racks later another break and run. Broke about 16-17 racks today and had one other chance to run out but hosed it up. Three chances out of 16-17, I'll...

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

Bob, Yes, the balls are frozen. However, I am going to use a brand new template later today to see if it helps. Yes, the 1B is on the spot. And I've also tried it high on the spot and low on the spot. Nope, not trying to make the wing ball. Break speed when I last checked it was anywhere from...

    107 Breaks & 6 Chances

As some may realize I had new Apple Green Simonis 860 put on the Gold Crown IV a couple of weeks ago. The last two days I have been doing nothing but racking and breaking racks of 9-Ball. After the first ten or so breaks with either nothing down, no shot, or both I decided to keep track. The...

    My Aiming System

Not sure if this is one that has already been discussed ad nauseum but here goes. What I have been doing lately is sticking the tip of the cue right next to the OB and getting the aiming line to the pocket. The tip is about 1/4" from the OB. Then I pull the cue back about an inch, hold it...

    What Color Is This Cloth?

Here is a sample of the standard Simonis Green. Doesn't look anything like what is on that table.

    What Color Is This Cloth?

And the standard Simonis Green in your link is way, WAY lighter than the standard Simonis Green I had on my table awhile back. The standard Simonis Green that I have seen is really dark. That's why I prefer the Apple Green.

    What Color Is This Cloth?

If that's standard Simonis Green it's way, WAY lighter than standard Simonis Green today. Unless the 10 megaton lights above it made it look WAY lighter.

    What Color Is This Cloth?

This is from the Derby City Classic back in 2002. Ralf Souquet and Keith McCready. What color is the cloth they are playing on? r/DCP
