    Pool play that irritates you!

At our state BCA tournament I was watching a match between my matches where 1 player was a "carpenter". I found it fascinating, game was 8 ball, he used his cue and laid out the cue ball path for every shot right up to the 8 ball before ever taking a shot, it took him a couple or 3 minutes to do...

The wood shop near me told me that my GCI aprons were Maple.

Does Being Tall Offer Advantages in Pool?

In all seriousness I would say taller people have an advantage if we are comparing people in very good physical shape. Tall people can get lower on shots but shorter people cant get taller on shots that require height and reach.

Does Being Tall Offer Advantages in Pool?

Its easier to see the money posted on top of the light when playing for the cheddar, probably the most important of all advantages in height. :) :)

    Pool play that irritates you!

How about the guy that grabs the chalk and chalks his cue as he is walking away from the table after a miss, with the only piece of community chalk.

    Jump Cues ☠️

Why is Fedor holding that jump cue with a napkin??

    Jump Cues ☠️

I suppose the "proof" is that jump cues should continue to be allowed is that they fit the legal requirements for what a pool cue is so why should they be banned? The sanctioning bodies would be required to write new rules that makes jump cues illegal. Shall we ban break cues next? What happens...

Why do I naturally pocket balls better with outside spin?

All I can offer is that I am glad that I don't shoot good enough to have to worry about this stuff. I use a little outside if I cant hit the OB thin enough because of an obstruction, I use inside if I need it for position or if its a thin frozen rail shot, and center ball for a stop or stun shot...

    Gold Crown 7 Revealed

That is the ugliest sh!t I have ever seen in my life!!!!!! Clearly it was the first time they ever installed cloth. I cant believe they used duct tape. I think I would have Googled some videos while they were there and showed them how it was supposed to be done and how it should look, pretty...

Take all of the weight out of your break cue

I would need to be able to run at 30mph to hit the cue ball at 35mph with this technique.

Can you straighten a warped shaft?.....Manwon can!

I have a 1 piece Brunswick cue that was part of the new purchase of my GCI back in 1971, I wouldn't call it warped, it had a turn. If you laid it on the table the tip raised up at least 4" over the last 12" of the cue. I stuck the cue in a knot hole of a rafter over my table with the the butt...

Can you straighten a warped shaft?.....Manwon can!

I use a tea pot on the stove. When it starts to whistle I pass the dented area thru the steam, wait a few minutes then lightly sand with 1000 grit. If the dent is still there I will pass it thru the steam another time or 2, until its nice and smooth.

    Fargo Ratings

Almost all of my practice is on a 9' table and 100% of my competition happens on 7' tables, I don't think that practicing on my 9' table made me a better player than those who only play on 7' tables. The only difference between the 2 are when you get close to full table length shots on the 9'...

    Diamond Professional Delivery Time

I also think Diamonds are tougher than GC's and my GCI has 4 3/8" pockets. For reasons I cant explain a 9' Diamond feels bigger than my 9' GCI even though they are the exact same size, maybe its the big, flat rails that Diamonds have.

    Machinist level question

I noticed that when I set my table up. You can learn a lot slow rolling balls across the bare slate.

I thought if its Dymondwood the type of wood doesn't matter for toughness.
