    Machinist level question

Well the guys who set up tables bought from Temu might use carpentry levels but I doubt any real table mechanics do. If the guy setting up your table comes walking in with a carpenters level for your slate leveling you might wanna reconsider who you have setting up your table.

green taom chalk on blue 860hr cloth

I never chalk over the table, I like to stand away from the table to see the table and shots and that's when I chalk. I do get a lot of chalk between my fingers though, I think its because I chalk with my left hand (I'm left handed but shoot right handed) which is also my bridge hand. I do try...

What is the worst roll you have ever seen?

I did not, in my defense my wife always calls me blind.

What is the worst roll you have ever seen?

Yeah, I had a hard time finding the bad roll, was it just the scratch? Even I know to look out for that scratch, the cue ball wants to go in the pocket on those shots.

green taom chalk on blue 860hr cloth

Any idea why the 2 different colors, are they different formulas? Is one softer than the other like how Kamui had 2 different chalks?

    Older Cue Butts

But aren't most woods used for cues kiln dried and aged?? Plus they are sealed when finished too, wouldn't that help keep the moisture level from changing a lot?? I don't know the answer to these questions, that's why I ask.

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

The little things can make the biggest differences. When I was building a SODA Pro 2 off road truck for a customer I made his throttle linkage ratio adjustable so he could change the carb opening rate depending on if the track was slick or tight.

    Machinist level question

If I am welding a tube in a chassis that is parallel with another tube I can eyeball it better than a standard level can measure it. When using a standard level (digital or bubble) I can have both tubes positioned correctly according to a level yet they are clearly not parallel when eyeballing it.

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

<<<<<< Has no idea what any owned shaft weighs and will not be weighing them anytime soon. I guess when you hold the cue near the butt cap they all feel forward balanced.

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

That reminds me of sometime in the 90's Earnhardt came up here (was hired in I believe) to run the Slinger Nationals at out local high banked 1/4 mile, its like a tint Bristol. He hops in one of the local's cars that he would drive for the night, runs a few laps, comes in and has them change the...

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

That really doesn't answer any of my questions. Its a stretch thinking someone will improve by going 2 and out every time they enter a tournament. Even if they did somehow improve they will most likely choke when the pressure is really on in the late rounds because they have never been there. By...

Pros or cons playing with light shaft (approximately 3.0 oz)

I must not be very attentive, I have never noticed a cue that felt better or worse balanced. I also never check balance point on cues. Unless you hold the cue at the balance point what difference does the balance point really make? I end up holding 58" & 59" cues at the butt cap due to my wing span.

    44 Breaks & Only 3 Chances

You keep blaming the table. If you have done the suggested tests on this table to make sure it doesn't play absurdly slow there is nothing you can expect to change with a different table. Instead of blaming the table work on your break and make it work with realistic results on this table, what...

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

If a weak player gets better by losing to stronger players playing heads up why not just watch matches online? Pretty much the same thing if you are sitting in your chair watching some guy pummel you. I'm not talking about players that are 50 Fargo points apart, I mean like 150 Fargo points...

    Aiming B.S.

But it's more than just aiming, much more. We are humans, not machines, our stroke, at least for the layman who doesn't spend 6-10 hours a day at the table, have inconsistencies. If you set up 2 golf tees at the opposite end of the table 2 1/2" a part and have someone spot balls in front of you...

    Aiming B.S.

Why is ghost ball BS? Ultimately its where or extremely close to where the cue ball must end up to pocket the object ball.

The cue ball hops on way to the rack.

    44 Breaks & Only 3 Chances

When breaking, sometimes you have more success moving the cue ball left or right from your starting position, sometimes even moving it closer or farther from the kitchen line can make a difference too.

Parallel vs BHE vs tuck and roll vs "intuitive" English vs whatever else you use.

I despise stating this cause it always causes bickering for some reason but I feel your last sentence explains why CTE/Pro1 works so well for me, you are zeroed in on a spot on the cue ball when you approach the table. I also use BHE and a wood shaft.
