Has anyone ever took on the job on replacing the glass vial. Must be the temperature change here in the high desert. I just opened my pelican case to find one of my 12s with a broken glass and leaking. I really would just like to replace the whole tube if I can.

The cushions I used were a k-66 black cushion with J & J stamped on them. They look like a decent cushion. They have a nice backing and a nice control strip similar to the diamond black cushions. I will be using these for my generics on all future installs.

Sanded the facings to ensure a good glue bond Cushions and facings glued on Facings trimmed up and flushed to cushion All ready to be covered with some tourney blue 860hr which will be during the table setup. Table Setup and Cloth installation pictures coming soon!!

Well I would like to share some cushion replacement work I done this afternoon on a GoldenWest OS 8fter. Original Cushions have turned to dirt. Stripped them off the wood The old glue came off pretty good with just using a razor as a scraper All clean now and ready for new rubber

i use a husky brand from Home Depot. Its pretty quiet at 60 bucks.

Replace the facing material with 3/16 black neoprene Duro 60.

Sorry, I am used to seeing ones in a pool room. Cushion control strip discolored with some dry rot and rails stapled out.

If its crated, leave it flat. If its out of the crate, i perfer to store it standing up. IMO, That thick slate would take many years to move. I know we are talking about slate but this is standard practice in the machine shop with a set of engine heads. Heads are always stored standing up...

Did anyone notice the like new condition those rails are in. I have never seen gold crown 2 rails that nice before. Those cushions and glue still look new. Nice find!

That wouldn't ever happen if the pocket angles was correctly cut.
