Give me the real story on having two shafts for a cue

I have 2 WX700 shafts for my Mezz, one with a Kamui Black Medium and one with a Kamui Black Soft. Some days I play better with soft, other days with medium. Another reason I have had two shafts is that I can keep my current favorite tip on one and experiment with different tips on the other.

I learned a lot from this book when I was starting out. http://www.amazon.com/The-Critical-Shots-Pool-Everything/dp/0812922417

How Do You Maintain Your Shaft?

OK, that's disgusting. I use Renaissance Wax. Silky smooth and it doesn't allow ANY chalk in the grain.

"The Color Of Money" Shot Question

As soon as I saw the shot from a post in this thread I went downstairs and tried it. Made it on the first try. I don't think I would consider it a miscue, intentional or otherwise.

    Reyes vs Feijen 2001

I'm shocked! The reason it bugs me so much is that the guy deserves respect and as a "professional" announcer, the least Hopkins could do was learn his actual name.

    Reyes vs Feijen 2001

Japan 9 ball championship. In the hour and a half video Allen Hopkins called him Efrem about 400 times. I had to turn the sound off. Fer Chrisakes, you're a professional announcer. The least you could do is learn the contenders names.

    I don't understand the question.

Higher end Production Cues have No Value

I paid just under $600 for my Mezz and I think it's worth every penny. Don't be talkin' bad about my Mezz.

    What a mess

The one in the third picture from the top ... that, to me, is what a cue should look like. Beautiful collection. BTW, Who made that cue and if you don't mind me asking, how much would a cue like that cost?

What kind of chalk do you use?

Where do you live that has steel coins?

    Ultimate rugged by JB cases

Thanks Allen, I like to travel light. I don't jump and I don't break hard. BTW, I have a son named Allen Brown.

What kind of chalk do you use?

I go back and forth between Masters and Magic. I prefer Magic.

    Talisman vs. Instroke

I paid $135 shipped for this JB custom case. That's what I would recommend.

    this cue shoots good

I wouldn't settle for a cue that shoots good. I'd hold out for one that shoots great.
