    It has charitaristics of Mahogany, the brown stripe is interesting. There are a few woods from Africa that are close to Mahogany in color and grain. Sapele will have darker streaks in it sometimes.

    I would say, if it is straight then it would be worth the $150. I love curly Maple in cues but unless cored, it can warp a bit. Not always though. I like it.

    Made some acrylic ferrules

    The black looks like Buffalo horn, I use that for ferrules and butt caps. I also use antler for both too. My first choice is Coues deer, I believe it is a type of Whitetail. Denser though. Your ferrules look great.

    It so much depends on price, or how much you are willing to pay? Rich or relatives or Mali...not sure. Nice vintage cue but not worth a bunch.
