Its hard to gage properly cause Darren plays great with his other 314-2 shaft. They pay him plus he's a great player. I haven't heard many great things at all about these shafts. Most people convince themselves it's better cause they have to justify the money they just blew.

Installing a tip takes no more than 10 min on a lathe so unless he's dong it by hand there is no excuse.

When guys are trying to extract the other players money out of the wallets, they might put there opinions on the back burner.

Watched Jasmine O playing with the Revo and haven't ever seen her play that bad ever. If Predator didn't pay her, I'd bank on it that she would change in a heartbeat imo. She looked very uncomfortable.

Yes most leagues are crap when it comes to a high level of pool competition. I always tell guys that if your out just to mingle and have fun then join if thats your thing but if your out to become a better pool player that's serious about there game, then stay the hell out of pool leagues.

I agree with you Shawn.plus the poolroom itself is fantastic in all aspects, where moving around to inferior halls can take away from the prestige that Corner bank offers. This poolhall is far beyond a hum drum poolhall!!

I loved the design on the cue but knew from having a handful of other OB cues I found the finish on everyone was a thin coating, which deterred me from taking the plunge.Love there business practices, just not there finishes.

I've recently had my cue guy find a good triangle and burnish the sides with superglue to keep it from mushrooming. Great feel, great sound with no oddities shooting any shot. Makes me wonder what the hell i was thinking dinking around with all these tips. Learned my lesson which wasn't cheap...

Either way you'll have a cue that keeps its value no matter what shaft you play with. If you play better with an LD, slap one on. The butt of the cue won't know what shaft you put on it, but alot of these guy feel its goes against some unwritten rule about custom cues. Do what makes you happy...

You don't need to soak them,just press them and tell your cue guy when he burnishes the tip, finish it by adding a drop of super glue on a piece of paper towel and putting it on the side of the tip. Great way to keep the tip from mushrooming.

Chances are if the Predator shaft has had more tip changes, it will be a tad smaller. I'm guessing it has?

Your 100% right but in this case the OP said he has never cleaned or used sandpaper on his shafts.

There is no way a shaft will go from 12.75 to under 12.25 from just chalking and never cleaning it, unless your chalking the shaft which would be nuts. IF it did it would take a lifetime and even then I can't see it ever happening. Now I've seen messy chalkers have there ferrules shrink down but...

The difference is Earl will insult and pester fans. There's a reason he is hated by so many. I know people will say all pro sports have a villain but the difference is, in pool were hanging by a thread while others have flourished into billion dollar businesses. Pool has not and can't afford it!!!

I have a couple predator shafts that are dead nuts straight. The straightest cue I've ever owned is a Layani. Had the butt on the lathe and even my cue guy was impressed that the cue was literally 100%. They hit damn fine too!!!
