A copy of Winning One Pocket.

Did Eddie pass? I remember a relative coming on here asking about him but I don't remember seeing that he passed. I tried google a while ago etc...

Your price seems fair. The other price….. not so much.

Not me. But I just might sell mine for $5000 and you could save $1700. 😜

OK. I watched the ref rack one time. That’s enough for me.

    China Open

All you have to do is have a rule like equal innings in the carom games. If a player runs a set from the opening break, let the opponent have an inning to break and run the same number. Easy rule to implement and as a practical matter it won’t come up much in a reasonably long race. But I...

Plain model cues,$1000-$1500 retail price, who is best custom cuemaker?

Jim Pierce is another to consider. I don’t have one but I’ve seen a few around my area. He does an excellent leather wrap. If I ever got one, it would have to be with a leather wrap I think.

Feedback on My Stroke & Mechanics – Looking to Improve Fundamentals

I hesitated to respond. I’m not an instructor etc…. I noticed the body movement. Can any of the mechanics- like shoulder movement be attributed to grip. Looking at shot on 6 ball then 7 ball. Grip contributing to issues? But OP. You are shooting well

    2025 Men's World 10-Ball Championship, Sept. 20-28 -- General Comments Thread

If as jbart said in another post, if the players could enter a qualifying I am OK with it. It’s another sport etc… but no player in any sport, particularly if they are from an R&A country can ever complain about qualifying after Hogan had to qualify for the Open at Carnoustie in 1953. 😉...

    9 Ball 2 Shot Shootout

Call shot 10 ball the worst of all worlds. When I started to play in the color of money era it was bih. One guy from New York insisted on rollout when he played for money. So I saw it played but it was dead for all practical purposes. Way better than 10 ball IMO.

    1990s 9-ball McCready vs. Paez

I think Keith played some golf. Probably hit that shot on the infamous table at Hard Times a few times.

    9 and out from nowhere

He was wearing tennis shoes not dress shoes, a pro had to ask the rules, and the pockets were too big, so I refuse to give any credit to that out. 😜

    What killed the slip stroke?

Or just say slip stroke. Sorry, maybe it is changing times. I don’t think there should be any confusion using the term that has always been used. But admittedly the slip stroke isn’t used much so people haven’t seen it. Maybe it is me seeing a guy when I first started playing who had a big slip...

Breaking good on one table horrible on another

The rack and old balls can be an issue. I’ve played on tables with mismatched ball sets. No good. One thing you can try in 8 ball is not to rack the 1 in front. That ball gets more abuse from 9 ball. It’s a small thing but try racking the 1 in a corner in 8 ball and see if it is better. I did...

    Finally Made It To Evansville

You never answered the question someone asked recently. What is your percentage running 5 with ball in hand? Instead of breaking 50 times, why don’t you Throw the 5-9 out randomly 50 times, take ball in hand, and see what your runout percentage is. How many times do you do it getting good on...

    Funny pic/gif thread...

I don’t think that is a cigar in the pic. It is a woman’s hand and I think it was a More cigarette. Ask if I saw ladies smoke those in a swimming pool in the ‘70’s. It is a skill to keep the cigarette and the hair dry while dog paddling around.

    Dress code in tournaments

Moronic. I don’t do it and don’t want to, but a suit can be worn most anywhere. Baseball game or Supreme Court. As men used to do. Hilarious a suit would violate a dress code at a pool tournament. Those folks got a furlough from the HOA board or something.

    Dress code in tournaments

I find a waistcoat with no jacket extremely offensive. And evening attire in the afternoon is way worse than pool hall gambling attire. Track suits, pinky rings, backwards hats etc… all more acceptable. 😜

The Skinny Bob’s logo is a guy with a backwards hat. I haven’t been there myself.

    Dress code in tournaments

On the stream just now the mentioned Predator as a sponsor. Yeah they dress like that at Derby. And I think it’s been a pretty successful. I kind of like T Rex’s shirts that say Don’t Be A Nit.
