Ok, now are those "cracks", or friction marks. I use a wengler tip from muellers, and have no marks on my table at home. I have a pretty strong break when i turn it loose, and i use the same measle ball--no marks.

With all of the unrest about phenolic tips, i'm a bit curious. Has anyone ever seen a cue ball damaged by phenolic tip during play? Here's the catch, i need to see it- pics only-no stories as anyone can make up a story. I could care less whether they are "legal" or not, but i've never seen a cue...

Thanks to everyone for your help. Unfortunately i was at the mercy of the inlaws, so i didn't get to play a lot. Did get to meet Jerry B. though, really nice guy. Have to get a lesson from him in the future for sure. Sweet tooth billiards next time---i hope!

You being an instructor, i'm baffled as to why you don't see the relevance. I see it as a part of the pre-shot routine. Last time i checked, that's an important part of the shot. If i were an instructor, i would think about the question as it pertains to the player trying to learn. Sorry, but if...

Is it through usps,ups,etc? Usps should be 3-5 business days from the time it enters the states, and gets through customs.

For my 2 cents, go with the olhausen. I play on a 9ft champion fairly often, and it plays great. Also, they are made in the u.s., not asia.
