The WPA should set up their own version of the Mosconi Cup. Call it the Strickland Cup. Team USA could involve Strickland, Archer, Bergman, Dechaine and one other. Team Europe could have Filler, Ouschan, Feijen and a couple others.

He was pressured by Matchroom to make that statement. If he didn't make that statement, I suspect Matchroom would be doing the same thing. Matchroom banning Filler is evidence that pool should not be run by a private company. Pool needs to be protected by the WPA.

Matchroom want USA to win, so weakening Europe is in their best interests. I suspect that Matchroom and other WNT players are bitter that Filler won lots of money in New Zealand and China. This might be their way of getting back at him.

With how strong Asia are, you could argue the event should be Asia vs Rest of World.

I support the WPA. Matchroom are a company that wants to make a profit. WPA are a not for profit organisation.
