Some of my favorite things about one pocket (there are many) are the shorter innings and mix of offense/defense - more like sparring with a live opponent.

Sounds logicalish, but I doubt it. Miscueing is pretty well understood to be a function of the slope of the CB’s surface where the tip contacts it compared to the stick’s direction of motion: more than 30 degrees (the slope at the half ball miscue limit) = scratch.

With a non-deflecting stick {be still my heart) you could still masse with elevated sidespin to get around stuff by pointing the stick/CB in the deflect direction.
